Ree Drummond (born Ree Ann Duncan) is an American writer, blogger, television host who writes about food and photography. She is most famous for the blog she runs called The Pioneer Woman. She lives on a ranch in Oklahoma. Her blog discusses her experience at the ranch in Oklahoma as an individual woman as well as a mother. Between 2009 and 2010 and 2011, the Pioneer Woman was awarded the Weblog of the Year award at the Annual Weblog Awards. Her undergraduate studies covered gerontology and journalism. In 2006 she started her online blog pioneerwoman.typepad.com and later changed the name to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and finally to The Pioneer Woman. Confessions of a Pioneer Woman is among her most visited sections. This blog has been a huge success, with many major publications applauding her style of writing as well as her high-quality photos. It also contains visually impressive food-related recipes. The show she created was The Pioneer Woman in 2011, which still airs on The Food Network. Her books are also published with the majority of them contain recipes for cooking. Recently, she announced that her book From Black Heels to Tractor Wheels will be made into a feature film by Columbia Pictures.
